AMAG Technology promotes; hires

Company continues on path to success with personnel changes and additions

AMAG Technology, an access control, IP video and intrusion management (IDS) solution provider, announced several personnel changes. AMAG promoted Jody Ross to vice president of Strategic Accounts.  In this new position, Ross will manage key strategic accounts, the business development team and the director of national accounts.  Her main responsibility will be to grow AMAG’s core commercial business by supporting Fortune 1000 customers, promoting and executing Symmetry SR Controller retrofit initiatives and working closely with technical services, sales and marketing and product management to provide a comprehensive support package to all customers requiring additional assistance. 

“I am thrilled and humbled to be offered this position within AMAG, and will continue to work diligently to help the company reach it goals,” said Ross.  “This is an exciting time for the company, and I am excited to help drive AMAG to the next level with the launch of the Symmetry SR Controller solution and the challenge of bringing on new customers.”

Ross started at AMAG in 2006 as senior business development manager supporting security engineers, consultants and architects primarily on the East Coast.  In 2009, she was promoted to director of Business Development where she grew the business development department and added three business development managers to her team.  Each year her role in AMAG’s annual Security Engineering Symposium grew to where she now is in charge of the popular three day event which has grown to nearly 100 attendees. 

AMAG also announced that it has expanded its product management department and hired Jim Murray as senior product manager-Symmetry Video. Murray is responsible for managing all Symmetry Video related products and systems including third party video products. 

Murray most recently was with S2 Security Corporation where he managed its digital video product lineup including network video recorders and video management system software product offerings. Previously, he was with Tyco International and Integral Technologies Inc. in similar roles.

Finally, the company appointed  Bob Wallace director of National Accounts.  Wallace will support AMAG’s national account customers by promoting AMAG awareness and Symmetry product education, developing new business opportunities and growing the business.  He has over 16 years of security sales experience and previously worked for UTC Fire & Security/GE Security as a national cccount manager.
