Moonachie, New Jersey, July 26, 2013 - Monitor America, LLC., has received UL certification for meeting all requirements pertaining to UL Standard for Safety for Central Station Alarm Services listing.

“Becoming UL listed is a milestone for Monitor America and its goal of being the most advanced central station for alarm services in the nation,” said Jay Stuck, spokesperson for Monitor America. “Security directors, together with dealers and integrators who are looking for video, intrusion and fire monitoring, now have the assurance of high-quality life-safety and technology that a UL listing means at Monitor America. It’s an honor to receive this listing from UL, the most trusted third-party certification agency for over 100 years. The UL listing means Monitor America has the trained personnel, equipment and integrity to provide a world-class service our customers.”

Monitor America, which began full operations in June, aims to fill a need for residential and commercial monitoring services, said Stuck. Over the years ahead, the industry will be forced to move to video verification for alarm signals as a result of technology and local ordinances, he said. “Monitor America will be the “go to” central station for video services due to our investment in cutting edge-technology and know-how,” Stuck said.

The company has signed several new dealers over the past few months and has generated much interest with enterprise level security directors especially interested in its video services, Stuck added. Monitor America plans to create dealer network dedicated to commercial sales and is also looking to make acquisitions, Stuck said.

Monitor America is housed in a 25,000 square foot facility in the Meadowlands area of New Jersey. It offers cloud-based business to business, enterprise-level and residential services ranging from hosted video and access control, virtual security tours, video concierge services, video escorting, and real-time event reporting to PERS services, intrusion, video monitoring and video verification of alarms.
