More video surveillance customers demand better recording performance and a higher integration of legacy camera products and Siemens Building Technologies (SBT), Zug, Switzerland is offering just that with their new SISTORE MX 3G™.This real-time hybrid digital video recording (DVR) device is based on the TMS320DM648 digital media processor from Texas Instruments, Inc., a global semiconductor company located in Dallas.

This hybrid DVR provides a display subsystem with the capability to support dual digital monitors, as well as four spot-monitor outputs. The SISTORE MX 3G also integrates two built in Gigabit Ethernet ports for increased network storage support, remote monitoring and management, as well as advanced software functionality including the ability to integrate Siemens SiPassTM Access Control System for interoperable security. The SISTORE MX 3G is available now from Siemens.

Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi), Tel Aviv, completed the integration with Axis Communications’ new camera application platform and will expand its embedded analytics devices offering to include Axis’ new product lines. Agent Vi completed integration with the AXIS P3301 Fixed Dome Network Camera, which is the first Axis product allowing download of analytics applications via the open application platform. Thanks to the integration, and with the support of the platform, Agent Vi’s applications will also be compatible with upcoming products from Axis. By downloading Agent Vi’s algorithms to Axis’ IP cameras and video encoders, the integrated solution enables surveillance networks to offer real-time detection and alert capabilities, as well as video search and analysis capabilities, through Agent Vi’s leading products: Vi-System and Vi-Search.
