Ultra Wide Varifocal Lens

Theia Technologies has added a new varifocal lens model to its line of ultra wide angle, no distortion, megapixel lenses. The supplier's patented Linear Optical Technology platform enables optical distortion correction and allows more flexibility in camera placement and wide coverage of an area. Designed for 1/3", 1/2.7" and up to 1/ 2.5" image sensors, the lens will provide from 77 to 115 degrees horizontal field of view, with less than 1 percent barrel distortion. In addition, the lens' True Zoom capability enables end-users to set focus once and the image remains in focus while zooming. Contactless Smart Credentials

Ethernet-Based Transmitter

ComNet has introduced a two-channel model that allows Ethernet-based equipment to be connected over non-traditional media. The ComWorx CNFE2CL2MC is a dual version of a previous product that allows two separate Ethernet inputs and transports it over 75ê coaxial cable or twisted pair telephone wire. This new dual package solves density challenges by allowing two separate channels be accommodated in one of the supplier's product units. Sony is launching 13 new products at ASIS. Five new camera models come with full 1080p HD video capabilities; while six of the cameras feature compact surveillance to support applications at a range of prices. Wireless Indoor Motion Detectors

Honeywell's 5800PIR and 5800PIR-COM Wireless Indoor Motion Detectors are the newest members of the supplier's 5800PIR family of wireless sensors. The 5800PIR contains all of the features of the basic model, plus a cold temperature alert that warns occupants when temperatures fall below 45 degrees.
