Longest Range Active Infrared-Bosch Security Systems announced a new configuration for the GVS1000, billed as the industry's longest-range active-infrared system, facilitating easier integration with Bosch head-end solutions. With support for Bosch's Bi-Phase protocol, customers can now control the GVS1000 with the Divar, DiBos series of digital recorders, as well as the Bosch video management and VIDOS systems. The GVS1000 uses two sets of active infrared illuminators for both long and medium-to-short range nighttime imaging.

Automatic Camera Configuration-The autoIP(tm) network camera series by GVI Security provides high quality, 1.3 megapixel resolution video in the demanding light conditions and is compatible with the autoIP open platform video management software for quick plug-and-play installations. ONVIF compliant, additional features of the camera series include a 1/3-inch CCD progressive scan image sensor, IR cut filter and Wide Dynamic Range capability. H.264 compression retains the high video quality at a low data rate.

Easy Way to Focus IP-ToteVision's MD-700 is a fully functional Windows-embedded mobile PC designed to focus and position IP-based network cameras. This custom security camera application simplifies camera discovery and optimizes field deployments for technicians. Once configured for a customer's network, the MD-700 runs pre-loaded, custom-built software developed by Video Insight to auto discover and support more than 400 digital IP network cameras, including Arecont Vision, Axis, Bosch, Canon, Intellinet, IQinVision, JVC, Panasonic, Pelco, Sanyo, Sony, Speco Technologies, Toshiba, Vivotek and more.

iCVR-MP Family Additions-The family of iCVR megapixel dome cameras from VideoIQ deliver full 1080p resolution and frame rate, zero bandwidth recording, full megapixel analytics and support for IQTrack(tm), automatic digital PTZ zoom and track. Each camera includes up to a half terabyte of intelligent, on board Network Video Recorder (NVR) storage onboard and embedded, adaptive analytics automatically calibrate in minutes, delivering superior real-time threat detection and forensic evidence at no additional cost.

Dual Mode and HD-The AV2805 1080p camera from Arecont Vision operates in full HD Mode, providing full high-definition (HD) video with 1920 x 1080 pixels (2.07 megapixels) at 30fps. Available in color, day/night and color auto-iris versions, users can digitally pan, tilt and zoom live with multiple zoom windows while recording the full field-of-view in full HD 1080p. Post-event forensic zooming is also possible from archives to extract recorded details.

Migrating to IP-Infinova's V1770 high definition (HD) 360 continuous rotation megapixel IP PTZ dome camera with 1.3 megapixel resolution provides high-definition video output as both an IP and an analog YPbPr signal and delivers 30fps with an 18x optical zoom and 12x digital zoom. The camera leverages a 1.3-megapixel progressive-scan CCD.

Performance Upgrade-Vicon Industries introduced a new camera module within its low-cost line of 4.5-inch fixed camera domes. Several new features and improved performance specifications include: digital noise reduction; better dynamic range and 560 TVL resolution; a joystick-controlled, on-screen menu system replaces the previous DIP switches and allows users to customize camera performance based on a wide range of variables; new privacy masking capabilities allow users to mask out selected regions of the video; and more.

HDTV Video Quality-The P1346 3 megapixel day and night network camera from Axis Communications features full frame rate HDTV 1080p (1920 x 1080) in compliance with the SMPTE 274M standard in resolution, color representation, 16:9 aspect ratio and frame rate. It supports multiple H.264 and motion JPEG streams simultaneously. AXIS P1346 additionally supports digital pan/tilt/zoom and multi-view streaming, where the full view and several areas cropped from the full view can be streamed simultaneously.

180 and 360 Panoramic HD Domes-The Avigilon Panoramic High Definition Dome Camera with High Definition Stream Management (HDSM) is designed specifically to provide complete coverage of ultra-wide angle scenes including lobbies, offices and other tight spaces with fewer cameras. Avigilon's panoramic HD dome cameras capture images without distortion while Avigilon Control Center software ensures that the evidence captured is stored and managed effectively for a dramatically improved percentage of successful investigations.

IP Fixed Dome Cameras Enter Production-Basler's IP Fixed Dome Camera models entered series production. The following models are available with dome housings: BIP-D1000c-dn with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels; BIP-D1300c-d/n with a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. With their vandal-resistant aluminum housings and an operating temperature range from -35ø C to +50ø C (-31ø F to +122ø F), the cameras are an ideal solution for outdoor applications and under tough indoor conditions.

i-PRO SmartHD Basic Concept-Panasonic's further reinforced IP product lineup under the new concept, 'i-PRO SmartHD' provides a multiplex of solutions and features including: megapixel network cameras; network disk recorder and encoder; and high definition monitoring. Panasonic's i-PRO SmartHD cameras and recorders can be used as ready to go SmartHD Package. Seamless operation between analog/IP devices is possible through WV-ASC970, a universal platform for Panasonic's IP and Analog system. This IP Matrix Server Software provides the most efficient solution by making the best use of the existing analog system.

HD Quality Images Produced!-Samsung Techwin America's series of 1.3 megapixel HD network cameras (models SNB-5000, pictured; SNV-5080; and SND-5010) incorporate Samsung's WiseNet Digital Signal Processing (DSP) for superior megapixel image quality the latest 1/3-inch CMOS imager for improved sensitivity and image quality progressive scan technology for noiseless, high-quality capture of moving objects and intelligent video analytics.

Web/IP Cam-The Zonet ZVC7640 IP Camera is a latest triple-stream (H.264,MJPEG and 3GPP) internet camera. It can connect directly to a fast Ethernet network with simple installation. Additional features include: Micron 1/3-inch 1.3 megapixel CMOS sensor; up to 15fps at 1280 x 1024 resolution (both MJPEG and H.264); and night functionality with an effective range up to 20M.

Multi-Streaming, Full HD and More!- Sanyo North America Corp.'s full HD 1080p and full frame rate compatible network cameras with multi-streaming H.264 and MJPEG codecs includes four different form factors: box, dome, zoom and PTZ. Offering up to 4 megapixel MJPEG and full High Definition (HD) video for critical security monitoring, some models of the camera line also feature a twin engine incorporating new "Xacti HD-Pro" and "Optimum IP-Pro" technologies.

IP Network Video-The IK-WB30A IP network camera from Toshiba Surveillance & IP Network Video features a two-megapixel CMOS sensor and offers Electronic Pan-Tilt-Zoom (ePTZ), a technology that transmits thumbnail images of entire fields of view to allow the camera operator to instantly move to a target region for close-up shots. The IK-WB30A streams both MPEG-4 and MJPEG video simultaneously at up 30 fps.


Enterprise Level Network Surveillance-The NeVio Series EAN900 megapixel IP camera from Everfocus incorporated a megapixel image sensor, with an image quality of 1.3 megapixels. It also features H.264/MPEG4/MJPEG multi-stream output for simultaneous live monitoring and high resolution recording. The new NeVIO series IP network cameras also offer compatibility IEEE 802.3af standard Power over Ethernet (PoE).

All-Around Viewing-The M24M Allround camera from Mobotix features a new microprocessor and a modified system platform, which enables smooth video frame rates of up to 30 fps, even at a megapixel resolution. The M24M can also be configured for high-resolution, distortion-free panorama images using a hemispheric L11 lens (180ø fisheye), digital PTZ and special MOBOTIX software.

Megapixel Lenses-Tamron USA Inc. offers two 1/3-inch format 2.8-8mm F/1.2 Vari-Focal lenses (Models M13VM288IR-manual iris; M13VG288IR-DC auto iris) that are compatible with 3 megapixel day/night cameras. They deliver full high-definition 1080p images over the entire focal length range, both in visible and near-infrared light ranges.

Suitable for Outdoor Applications-The TCM-7411 H.264 IP Outdoor Dome Camera from ACTi Corp. features a resolution up to 1.3 megapixel with a frame rate of 26 frames per second in HD720p resolution. Its mechanical IR cut filter and WDR enhances the night vision and video quality under large drastic contrast. It supports 2 way audio and DI/O and comes equipped with vandal proof, IP66 weather and built-in heater and fan.

HD Surveillance Workstation Supports Megapixel Cameras-Genius Vision Digital's (GVD) CMS workstation now supports VIVOTEK's megapixel network cameras. The GVD E Series Control Workstation is an HD surveillance system designed for multiple megapixel cameras for enterprise security. It maximizes bandwidth efficiency to support hundreds of network cameras with amazing video response time, and allows operators to handle security incidences efficiently with minimal training.

HD Video Security-The new HD cameras from Sony are grouped into three series. The E Series includes entry-level models that combine high picture quality and a robust feature-set at a cost-effective price. The X Series offers cameras for unique surveillance installations. The V Series is Sony's flagship line, incorporating the latest technological advancements, such as View-DR and Distributed Enhanced Processing Architecture (DEPA) Advanced.

Adding the Power of IP-VideoEdge IP SpeedDomes from American Dynamics are available with either 420x total zoom (35x optical zoom with 12x digital magnifier) or 242x total zoom (22x optical zoom with 11x digital magnifier).The PoE-enabled speed domes support H.264, MJPEG, MPEG-4 and Active Content Compression (ACC) technology and are compatible with VideoEdge Network Video Management Systems v3.0 and higher, as well as Intellex IP.

Beyond the Basics-IQinVision's expanded IQeye BASIC LINE now includes MAIN profile H.264 and vandal-proof models. The original VGA, 1.3 MP, and 2.0 MP Mini Domes are now available in standard or vandal models. IQinVision also added HD480p and HD720p H.264 MAIN profile models that are also available in standard or vandal. Vandal models feature a cast aluminium base and tamper resistant screws.

Best of Both Worlds-Bolide Technology Solutions released their iPAC megapixel camera, which combines local recording, a BNC output, IRC, PoE and a host of other features. Equipped with an analog output for easy installation, iPAC offers integrated TCP/IP protocols with a built-in Web browser along with IP address filtering and HTTPS encryption. The 1.3 mega pixel CCD iPac has a resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels at 30 frames per second.

High-End Imaging-OmniVision Technologies' OV10630 image sensor is a system-on-a-chip (SOC) sensor which combines 720p high-definition (HD) video with low-light sensitivity and color high dynamic range (HDR) in a 1/2.7 inch optical format. Using OmniVision's HDR processing technology, the new security sensor delivers 110dB dynamic range in black-and-white and 100dB + in color, providing clear, fully-processed YUV color HDR video output. The OV10630 is scheduled to enter mass production by the fourth quarter of 2010.
