Technical staff for Continental Access, Amityville, N.Y., underwent intensive training to obtain Microsoft Certification in MCSE, MCPS, MCPD, MCSD, MCPSI, MCDBA, MCNPS, MCSA disciplines.
Having attained Microsoft Certified Partner status enables developers to access the necessary tools, training and resources that will help to speed up product production and further push development and testing of the SQL-based CA3000 software package. Engineering personnel are also on site and have advanced computer engineering degrees and certifications in a variety of security technology fields allowing them to answer a variety of inquiries from security system integrators and specifiers.
Free Training from Leviton
Leviton, Melville, N.Y., manufacturer of electrical and electronic wiring devices and systems and provider of residential networking solutions, expanded its ez-Learn® online training program to include in-depth material on Leviton’s Connected Home products.
Ideal for contractors, installers and builders, the ez-Learn program provides step-by-step instruction on the company’s line of Connected Home products. The ez-Learn training program consists of nine modules for each Connected Home product category. Training is provided through a mix of instructional video, detailed graphics and narrative-rich slides which explain the products in depth.
The products are designed to wire a home for today’s digital media world and include whole-house audio, video, telephony and computer networking devices and systems.
ez-Learn is free to participants and allows for learning at the participants own pace, where and when users choose. After users advance through the screens, they can test their knowledge with a short online quiz. Once training is complete, the user receives a course completion certificate.

Secura Key, Chatsworth, Calif., a manufacturer of access control and RFID products, has distributed a Quick Reference Guide which allows resellers and customers to view and compare Secura Key product features side by side from this single source.
The guide helps customers match the appropriate product with its application, by correlating customer requirements with specific devices. It also shows which software versions and hardware components are required for various system configurations and specifications. The guide covers Radio Key® Proximity products, e*Tag® Contactless Smart Card products, Standalone Access Control Units and e*Access Kits. Thumbnail photos and specs are included for each product.
Mace Moves to AC Business Dealer Via Dealer Program
Mace Security International Inc. announced plans to launch a new access control product line to the North and Latin American markets. The company expects availability of the product in the fourth quarter of 2009.
Key components of Mace’s new access control product line named MaceTrac™ include No Cost Software—a Windows-based program including badging, site graphics and time and attendance; five-year warranty on hardware and software; support of up to 500 doors; client server structure with no charge for terminals; and diagnostic LED’s.
