Griffon Corporation Awarded $14.5 Million Contract From U.S. General Services Administration for Mobile Surveillance Systems for

JERICHO, N.Y., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Griffon Corporation (NYSE: GFF) announced today the Electronic Systems Division of Telephonics Corporation, its electronic information and communication systems subsidiary, has been awarded a $14.5 million contract from the U.S. General Services Administration on behalf of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to supply Mobile Surveillance Systems (MSS) for the U.S. Border. The MSS provides, for the first time, a fully integrated system including Ground Surveillance Radar, Electro Optical/Infra Red (EO/IR) sensors, accurate GPS location data along with a Common Operating Picture allowing agents to not only track but to visually identify targets of interest prior to engaging. The entire system is easily deployable and highly mobile making it a cornerstone for any perimeter security requirement.
