Fire safety professionals work every day to reduce the loss of life and property through fire prevention efforts. Learn the latest in fire safety concepts by attending the International Code Council Fire Prevention Institute Jan. 22-25 in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

Fire and building safety experts will discuss how to effectively apply provisions of the 2006 International Fire and Building Codes to high-piled combustible storage, fire protection systems, hazardous materials and means of egress issues in commercial buildings. These experts include Kevin Scott, ICC Fire Service Manager and former Fire Marshal for Kern County, Calif.

Co-sponsored by the San Bernardino County Fire Chief's Association, the Fire Prevention Institute offers continuing education units (CEUs), AIA learning units (LUs) and Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) credits and allows attendees to solve problems, share experiences, network, exchange information and interact with highly-respected educators in the fire industry. All participants receive comprehensive manuals to reference during the event and to use as a resource back on the job. Registration also includes a continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments.
