Alexandria, VA - For the fourth consecutive time since it began submitting information in 2002, the ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits - the world's largest show dedicated to security - was among the largest in the U.S. and Canada last year, according to Tradeshow Week magazine, which compiled the data and recently announced the top 200 tradeshows of 2005.

The Seminar and Exhibitssponsored by ASIS International, the preeminent organization for security management professionalsranked 101st on the list, based on more than 247,000 square feet of paid exhibit space last year. In 2004, the ASIS event ranked 103rd on the Tradeshow Week list with more than 225,000 square feet of paid exhibit space. Both rankings were the highest of any security industry trade show.

"The continued growth in the size and scope of the ASIS Seminar and Exhibits can be attributed to our exhibitors themselves, who recognize the importance of reaching the profession's top leaders and decision makers, and realize the ASIS event provides unparalleled access to these top prospects year after year," said Jeff Spivey, CPP, PSP, President of ASIS International.

"The Tradeshow Week recognition of the Seminar and Exhibits is gratifying in that in the more than 50 years since we started this event, we have never stopped exploring opportunities to improve it."

The 52nd Annual Seminar and Exhibits, being held September 25-28, 2006 in San Diego, Cal. promises to be the most dynamic event yet, boasting more than 270,000 square feet of the latest security technology and innovations and providing a forum for nearly 900 companies to demonstrate the cutting-edge security products and services that are shaping the security industry today. Exhibit attendees will be able to find solutions, and to talk to top product experts, service providers and manufacturers to address all of their security needs.

This year's event is sure to be the best educational opportunity in the industry as well, featuring keynote addresses from former CIA director George J. Tenet, and Bob Dole, the former Senate Majority Leader and a recognized war hero, and offering over 150 high-quality, insightful education sessions of interest and importance to security practitioners of all experience levels.
