ICx Technologies Wins $6 Million Fido Order

WASHINGTON, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- ICx Technologies, a developer of advanced technology solutions for homeland and military security, announced today that the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) recently placed orders to the value of $6.3 million for the company's Fido(R) explosives detector.

Fido is a portable, ultra sensitive detector that utilizes amplifying fluorescence polymers (AFP) to detect trace levels of explosive materials. Weighing just three pounds, Fido is available in both hand-held and robot-mounted systems.
