Operating on the new wireless 4.9 GHz spectrum designated by the FCC for public safety, emergency management and homeland security applications, IPD's new wireless broadband network will be primarily used to transmit voice, video and data from mobile and fixed radio communications systems, IP surveillance cameras and the Internet both to and from the Department's new state-of-the- art Mobile Command and Communications Vehicle. NextPhase will continue to support the network and manage wireless connectivity services for the agency.
