MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Richard Helms , CEO and Founder of Abraxas Corporation is pleased to announce the addition of Alan Wade to the Abraxas corporate advisory board.

Mr. Wade , who last served at the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the CIA and simultaneously was CIO for the intelligence community, retired from federal service in 2005 after a thirty-five-year career with the Central Intelligence Agency and has been in private practice since. Prior to retirement he was the Agency's CIO since 2001.
Alan's assignments at the CIA involved technical programs in the United States and overseas, principally in the areas of telecommunications and technical security. During the last fifteen years of his government career he held a series of executive positions, including the Director of Communications, Director of Security, and Chief Information Officer.
Mr. Wade graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, Virginia in 1973, receiving a bachelor's in electrical engineering. In 1978, he received his master's in electrical engineering from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Wade joins former Governor and Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge , retired General and Presidential Advisor John A. Gordon, former Federal Judge Eugene Sullivan and former GRC International CEO, Jim Roth on the Abraxas corporate advisory board.
