A HOT Month for Surveillance Accessories
Bosch Security Systems Inc., Fairport, N.Y., is rolling out technology innovations with the release of three new solutions in the past month.
With the addition of 40 fixed body Dinion and FlexiDome H.264 main profile IP cameras, Bosch now offers IP cameras well suited for a wide variety of applications, including outdoor perimeters, traffic monitoring, correctional facilities and more. Built-in Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA), available as a licensable option, processes the detailed images to provide automated assistance to security personnel. The NBN-498 and NDN-498 series of the fixed body and dome IP cameras feature Bosch's 2X-Dynamic Technology with 20-bit processing.
Also new is Bosch's central station receiver software, designed to improve processing of alarm signals modified by voice over IP (VoIP) or digital phone networks. The new software improves the ability of Bosch's Conettix D6600 and D6100i Communications Receivers to interpret and accept control panel signals even if they do not meet the formatting requirements of the communications protocol. The receiver software analyzes the alarm signals to decode those that have been modified by VoIP or digital phone networks.
Outfitted with a new TCP/IP Communications Module for its AutoDome Camera System, the new module from Bosch delivers H.264 Main Profile compression, powerful Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) and alarm handling and compliance with the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) standard. AutoDome cameras equipped with the new module deliver hybrid operation with both Ethernet and analog connections for supporting existing equipment.

It displays live video from a camera and offers user-friendly features such as touchscreen, zoom and snapshot functions and can connect directly to a camera or network.
IP Dome Camera Accessories-Basler Vision Technologies' IP Fixed Dome Cameras can easily be mounted on a wall or ceiling, and an internal three-axis camera bracket allows complete flexibility when aiming the camera. For optimal mounting, Basler's accessories portfolio includes a suspended ceiling kit and a wall bracket kit.
Security Tester for CCTV-XFTP by Trilithic released the STE-1200(tm) CCTV Security Tester. It displays video feeds from security cameras and provides PTZ control.
Perimeter Control Takes the Next Step-The FLIR Thermal Fence from FLIR Systems is a fully-integrated perimeter alert system for simultaneous threat detection and assessment capability. It combines FLIR's thermal security cameras and the FLIR Sensors Manager (FSM) control and management software to provide status and feedback from all of perimeter security sensors on one convenient display.
Video, RMR in Your Pocket-OzVision's 4-HVR Gateway, an ideal solution for hosted video IP services by central station operators, is now shipping. OzVision's Secure Network(tm) (OSN(tm)) services are offered though security dealers and central stations and is also available through private branding (for self hosting).
Video Probes Find the Way!-Danatronics' BoresEye DC Series of small diameter articulating videoprobes are available in 5.5, 6.0, 8.0 and 11MM in lengths of 10-inch to 25 feet, some with 2- or 4-way articulation. Video Surveillance Goes Mobile-Speco Technologies' mobile four channel, H.264, pentaplex DVR is designed for installation in buses, emergency vehicles, police cars and trains. About the size of a radar detector, it captures and delivers real-time video through a compact surveillance system.
