Kudos to America’s Fastest Growing Systems Integrators

Top ranked companies assemble at ISC West 2013

SD&I magazine recognized America’s Fastest Growing Systems Integrators, the Fast50, at a main stage lobby ceremony Wednesday, April 10, at 4 p.m. during the opening day of exhibits at ISC West 2013. The new program, now in its second year, ranks companies on their growth and also presents their best practices on why they grew.

This year’s program, endorsed by ISC West (Reed) and the Security Industry Association (SIA) had almost one-third more participants than the first year, but many of the insights have remained consistent. For example, the majority of companies focus on the commercial sector and many specialize in vertical markets. The majority, more than 90 percent, are private companies, with the remaining balance public firms. Entries came from all across North America, as well as Puerto Rico and Canada.

The program was begun by Security Dealer & Integrator magazine, a Cygnus Security Media publication, in an effort to provide a level playing field for all alarm dealers and systems integrators. Because of the method in which gross revenues are leveraged in a formula balancing revenue and dollar growth, all size companies have the ability to place in the ranking. If the program ranked solely on dollar amount or gross revenues, that would skew the finalists to larger companies in the industry. The Fast50 provides a diverse look at the systems integrators who are growing their companies rapidly, and the work behind this fast growth.

Companies who participated in the program provided three years of gross annual revenues and these numbers were used to determine the overall ranking; two other lists were published at www.securityinfowatch.com/10910614--a ranking by dollar growth and by revenue growth. You can see all the rankings at: www.securityinfowatch.com/10910721; www.securityinfowatch.com/10910731; and www.securityinfowatch.com/10910770

Top 10—elite 50

In the overall ranking, the top 10 companies included: #1 Securityhunter; #2 Tech Systems; #3 Kratos Public Safety & Security Solutions; #4 American Integrated Security Group; #5 Vision Security; #6 MSA Systems Integration; #6 Netech Corp.; #8 Security Networks; #9 X7; and #10 Netronix Integration. Because the program ranks only 50 companies, all those who placed are to be congratulated for their ranking in this elite list.

All companies will be recognized at the awards ceremony, with 1 through 10 ranked companies receiving plaques and the 11 through 50 companies receiving Fast50 certificates. The program opens for entries late in the year. Look for it on www.securityinfowatch.com/sdifast50.
