Welcome to the Executive Suite!

March 22, 2010

Welcome to the STE Executive Suite – your portal to inside information about upcoming issues of Security Technology Executive and more in-depth coverage on some of our feature stories.

For the Executive Suite’s first posting, I want to highlight some of the many features in the March 2010 issue of STE (available for reading at securityinfowatch.com/magazine/ste); as well as give you a glimpse of the upcoming April issue.

As you roam the show floor at ISC-West, it might be a good idea to carry around your March issue of STE (If you don’t have one, just swing by Booth #3080 for a complimentary copy). STE features one of the security industry press’ largest new product sections in its March issue, which includes many of the new products being displayed on the show floor. Check out more than 40 new products from show exhibitors in many different categories; with each new product listing containing the vendor’s booth number for easy show navigation. Be sure to mention you saw “Product X” in the March issue of STE!

The March issue of STE also focuses on some of the key issues facing security directors across the country; along with a focus on two very important security markets – casinos & gaming, and retail. Read about how the Eastside Cannery Casino in Las Vegas has converted to a server-based infrastructure; or how the Mohegan Sun Casino in Connecticut (and its sister property at Pocono Downs, Pa.) is ready for the IP transition. In the retail market, read about multiple successful installations, security strategies and dealing with litigation in a loss prevention environment.

Dedicated security managers and executives won’t want to miss STE’s extensive coverage of the latest video surveillance technology, including HD and Megapixel cameras, video power supply strategies, and the best that analog video has to offer.

All of this and much more is available in the March issue – so be sure you are “in the know” at ISC this week!

STE’s April issue is going to tackle several key issue in the access control space. Be sure to read all about how key management has brought IT and network-centric security together; and check out our special feature and new product showcase on the latest innovations in door hardware and locks.

STE’s market focus in April centers on Homeland Security and related areas, including critical infrastructure and utility security. STE will feature both strategic ways to attack this market from a security end-user’s standpoint; as well as an array of successful implementations that may serve as a guide to your future deployments.

Also, STE aims to be sure you stay up-to-date on the latest DVR, NVR and video storage technologies, with a new product showcase.

Thanks for taking the time to join us in the Executive Suite, and be sure to stop by Booth #3080 at ISC-West – you may have a chance to exchange ideas with STE editor and industry veteran Steve Lasky – the most approachable personality in the security industry!
