New Year—New Design!

Jan. 6, 2010

It’s the start of a new year, heck a new decade, and Security Dealer & Integrator magazine is onboard with the launch of our completely redesigned publication, including a new logo, a fresh look and hard-hitting content. Every month we will cover the following topics: news, verticals, integrated systems, access control, video/IP/CCTV, networks, storage, software, central stations/web monitoring, service/funding, dealer profiles and much more. The industry is continuously progressing in a new direction and we at SD&I understand that economic times are hard right now, with many in the security industry looking towards greater opportunities of profitability and growth. And we want to help you-the security dealers, systems integrators and value-added reseller- reach those goals. So help us help you.

Each month, we include our product showcase, featured right behind our news coverage of every issue, which highlights a new product category, from cameras, to DVRs and NVRs, biometrics and much more. Be sure to get our 2010 editorial calendar for a list of all the product categories month-to-month.

Our upcoming February issue will showcase products in the Cards, Badges and Biometrics category. Our March issue, also our ISC West issue, will showcase IP and Network Cameras. Requirements for each submission must include: either a product press release or 50-word product description; release date of product; and a high resolution product photo in jpg, tiff or zip file format. Send in your submissions to my email address below, or contact me directly with any questions.

Have an interesting story to tell or recent project/installation that warrants some attention? We want to hear it! SD&I continuously features dealer profiles and peer-to-peer stories that address challenges in the workplace and integrated solutions that eliminate those dilemmas. We are looking for projects no more than one year old that showcase your design-build and engineering expertise and solve a real-world problem other integrators may have faced or be facing.

Have suggestions? Let us know what you think about our new look and what topics you would like us to cover for the year ahead.
