Last chance to enter the SD&I Fast50!

Jan. 27, 2012
Enter the new ranking and best practices program before it's too late!

Never in my wildest dreams did I envision how successful systems integrators really have been over the last several years, even during this long-winded recession. But through our new program, SD&I Fast50, I saw the light. I realize that no matter the economy, if you are smart, savvy and a leader you can achieve profitability, no matter what the pressures and outside elements dictate.

You still have a few more days to enter the SD&I Fast50—the deadline is Tuesday, January 31 at midnight. If you have grown, like the many others who have entered our program, it’s your time to get noticed for your progressive efforts.

This is a ranking unlike any other. It will give us a gauge on just how fast alarm dealers and systems integrators are growing and why. We will ask them, in our exclusive report in the March issue of SD&I, what they attribute to their fast growth. And at ISC West, we will parlay this ranking into a best practices panel discussion, following the presentation of awards, so you can learn from your peers what it takes to grow a company today and in the future.

One of the things that really intrigues me is the diversity of the industry. We have all kinds of entries in the program: large companies, small firms; electrical contractors and government-only contractors; long-time security dealers with and without central stations and newer systems integrators. And yes, even telecommunications companies.

Save the date to attend our awards and best practices presentation at ISC West 2012 in Las Vegas. The event will be held on the show floor from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 29 at the ISC Special Events Stage, Booth 14035.

A special thanks to our advisory board members and ISC West, the Security Industry Association and the California Alarm Association for their endorsement of the program. Like me, they had a vision of what this ranking and best practices program could bring to our industry, and how it will make all of us more successful in the end.

Look for coverage in the March issue of SD&I magazine and online. You can show your respect and admiration for these companies and the unique program by sponsorship in the magazine and at the awards/panel discussion. Ask SD&I Publisher [email protected] for more information about the many different opportunities available and hook your stars to these companies—and watch us all shine!   —Deborah L.
