AUSTIN, Texas—July 23, 2014 – Pivot3, a leading supplier of video surveillance and virtual desktop (VDI) hyper-converged infrastructure, announced the introduction of the Pivot3 Virtual Security Console, designed to allow users to deliver secure SOC capabilities at any time, in any location.
Austin, Texas – Pivot3 Inc., a leading supplier of video surveillance and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) Serverless Storage Appliances, announces the release of its vSTAC Watch Edge R2 appliances, designed for distributed sites requiring, high-performance shared storage with virtual servers to save cost, power, cooling and rack space. The new appliance line is certified to operate with Genetec Security Center v.5.2 SR3, allowing customers to capitalize on proven integration for additional storage and video management choices to ensure the most efficient configuration of surveillance installations.
The new vSTAC VDI appliances from Pivot3 provide both compute functionality for running video management software and shared storage resources needed for the client operating system and VMS client application software. By centralizing VMS clients, security directors can limit access to video, restrict unauthorized recording, transferring of video content to external devices and limit access to network applications. Each vSTAC VDI appliance features dual Intel CPUs, up to 384 GB RAM, 1 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet network connections and 50GB of solid state flash acceleration along with 12, 24 or 36 TB of disk storage. The vSTAC VDI appliances are compatible with existing vSTAC Watch and Data appliances so that mixed arrays can be deployed based on customer needs. The number of clients varies based on video processing needs but each vSTAC appliance is expected to support from 10-20 high-performance video playback clients, termed Virtual Security Consoles.
Philadelphia – Sept. 10, 2012 – Pivot3 Inc., the leading provider of IP SAN storage to the video surveillance market, today announced a new appliance in the vSTAC product family designed to replace high-priced surveillance workstations normally required to view and analyze live or recorded video.
Pivot3, Inc., the leading provider of unified storage and compute appliances, today announced the expansion of its Pivot3 vSTAC Watch product line with the introduction of the vSTAC Watch Enterprise, an enterprise-class Serverless Computing solution that offers a new set of centralized server management tools to help end users and resellers optimally manage large surveillance systems.
Run third-party video management software and provide highly reliable storage for video capture and playback with the vSTAC Watch system from Pivot3. The open system appliance can be stacked to create, protect and load-balance storage across vSTACs as a highly reliable IP SAN. High-performance solid-state storage introduces a 10X performance boost for intense streaming environments.
Pivot3 Inc., has introduced the Pivot3 vBank Appliance, which supports more virtual servers and solid state disk drives to extend storage performance across general business applications. The appliance bundles VMware vSphere, vMotion and vCenter Server technologies to simplify management. The appliance provides both local VMware vSphere environments and scale-out storage resources across appliances. Individual appliances can be stacked to create, protect and load-balance storage as a highly reliable, high-performance IP SAN. Solid-state flash disks are also available to support latency-sensitive applications.
The Pivot3 MiniBank server individually handles up to 70 cameras with 2 - 8TB of RAID storage supporting VMS applications from more than 30 open systems partners. MiniBanks are easily configured together to support larger camera counts with up to 48TB of shared SAN storage and embedded VMS failover protection. It is designed for distributed environments typically found in retail, financial, educational and corporate markets. Pivot3 also unveiled the HardBank server, a ruggedized version of the MiniBank that is ideal for military, air-constrained and mobile applications that experience harsh environments with extreme dust, vibration and heat.
Pivot3 Inc. has announced a data recovery feature that protects surveillance applications against server hardware failures. The NVR Recovery solution for the supplier's Serverless Computing product line - a scaled, server storage platform that won "Best in Show" in the SIA New Product Showcase at ISC West - automatically restarts applications such as video management systems, access control and video analytics in the case of a server failure. The system is based on an open-system approach that enables the supplier's storage to work with different camera, software and service providers.
