National Director of Loss Prevention, 24 Hour Fitness

Owen Shackleton was promoted to national director of loss prevention for 24 Hour Fitness U.S.A., Inc. in 2007. 24 Hour Fitness is the largest privately held health club chain in the United States with 424 current club locations. The company also operates 16 clubs overseas, in Hong Kong, Singapore and China, under the name California Fitness. Shackleton’s experience includes ten years with Emporium-Capwells Stores, a division of then Carter, Hawley Hale Inc., where he started as a loss prevention manager and became director of loss prevention. He held similar senior LP positions with Good Guys Electronics Stores, Esprit De Corp. and Gump’s Inc. He is currently active in the Bay Area Identity Theft Task Force, as well as a long standing member of the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators Association.
