Mitigating government shutdown risks

With lawmakers failing to pass a budget for the new fiscal year, the federal government went into a partial shutdown on Tuesday which could have consequences as it relates to security. Organizations within the critical infrastructure sector that work closely with federal agencies to monitor a variety of threats stand to be the most impacted by the shutdown. As with any crisis, however, experts say the impact of a government shutdown should be included in every organization’s business continuity plans.
