Acquisition to expand company's geographic reach in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming

Systems integrator Convergint Technologies on Monday announced that it has acquired Alphacorp, a Utah-based provider of security and fire and life safety systems.

According to a statement, Alphacorp will expand Convergint’s geographic coverage within Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. In addition, all 53 Alphacorp employees will be joining the Convergint team, including a team in Boise, Idaho, that will deepen the company’s presence in the local region. Alphacorp brings Convergint strong experience in sophisticated systems integration, especially within the healthcare market.

“Today we welcome Mike Painter and our new Alphacorp colleagues to the Convergint family,” said Dan Moceri, Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Convergint Technologies. “Alphacorp brings a strong service-based culture and the ability to support complex solutions to our combined customers. The deep expertise of their colleagues will be a valuable addition to Convergint Nation.”

“After many years of teaming up with Convergint, we have found that we share many of the same key organizational values,” said Mike Painter, President of Alphacorp. “Combining our resources will allow us to provide more comprehensive services to our customers and offer our colleagues exciting avenues for renewed growth. These new opportunities drove our decision to join the Convergint team.”

The acquisition is the first of 2018 for Convergint and its 15th in the last two years.
