SONITROL showcases SONITROL CORE at ISC West

April 4, 2024
SONITROL CORE offers scalable options catering to single or multiple sites with cloud-based capabilities, SaaS deployment, and security management features.

SONITROL will be demonstrating its cutting-edge security integration management platform – SONITROL CORE – at this year’s ISC West. This innovative, exclusive solution fully integrates intrusion and access control and is managed by one platform.

SONITROL CORE offers scalable options catering to single or multiple sites with cloud-based capabilities, cost-effective SaaS deployment, and cutting-edge security management features.

SONITROL’s all-in-one platform is a powerful management tool customized to meet individual business needs and designed to operate within the SONITROL monitoring environment. By seamlessly merging building security and automation, SONITROL CORE offers our customers a user-friendly experience with the platform and the SONITROL CORE Manager Mobile App.

Cloud adoption has escalated at an incredible rate and SONITROL CORE maximizes its potential to redefine what’s possible in security integration management. SONITROL CORE allows remote access to a security system, managing multiple locations seamlessly from one unified interface, and many more features.

Julie Beach, SONITROL’s Vice President, explained, ‘Perfect for use in a wide variety of end-user applications including distribution/warehouse, K-12 Schools, Retail, Commercial Office, SONITROL CORE provides complete control and can scale up and down as required.’

At the heart of SONITROL CORE is the Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP). Developed by the Security Industry Association (SIA) and approved as an international standard by the International Electrotechnical Commission in 2020, OSDP improves interoperability among security products. It uses advanced AES-128 encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted between devices, reducing the risk of unauthorized access and data breaches by, for example, ensuring that sniffing devices can’t be installed behind an access control reader or along the communications path.

SONITROL CORE’s customizable dashboard can be accessed via any internet-connected web browser, offering full remote management of a building’s access control and intrusion detection set-up via a single pane of glass. Users can grant or deny access to specific personnel, set profiles and permissions, assign credentials, and set rules – anytime, anyplace, anywhere.

This creates truly intelligent buildings with enhanced security, seamless integration, data-driven insights, user convenience, energy efficiency, scalability, and emergency response. It also helps users quickly respond to changing security needs and events, without significant hardware investments.

When it comes to hardware maintenance, the implementation of integrated security systems reduces the need for multiple service visits, lowering the carbon emissions associated with this activity. Fewer technicians and truck rolls are required, resulting in reduced road travel and associated emissions. The indirect savings associated with integrated systems can save on operational costs, making more resources available for organizations to invest in environmentally friendly initiatives or technologies.

Similarly, as an OSDP-based cloud solution, SONITROL CORE can carry out automatic software and firmware updates to keep up to date with the latest security features and enhancements. Doing this in a standardized manner takes the burden of managing the cybersecurity of the system off the end user while helping to ensure regulatory compliance through built-in operational features and documentation.

For 60 years SONITROL has pioneered impact-activated audio technology alarm verification which is still the heart of their security solution. This patented technology ensures that false alarms are not costly to your business, law enforcement, and the wider community.

SONITROL verifies alarms by providing wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling volumetric protection using patented audio detection technology. The SONITROL audio sensor can detect and analyze sounds associated with potential security breaches or incidents to verify the nature of the disturbance.

‘We’re excited about SONITROL CORE and its ability to integrate cloud-based access control and verified intrusion detection over one integrated security management platform,’ concluded SONITROL’s Julie Beach. ‘SONITROL continues to lead the way in security technology and SONITROL CORE is a genuine game-changer. It is reliable, secure, and easy to deploy, delivering a range of advantages including greater resilience, flexibility, reduced operational costs, and an intuitive user experience.’
