LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, April 10, 2024 — Centrios will present a proof-of-concept integration with Harbor by Luxer One at ISC West in Las Vegas, showing how authorized delivery personnel can easily and securely access Centrios-equipped doors and co-located Harbor enabled Lockers within their employer-issued app. The proof-of-concept is imagined for small businesses that are not always present to accept deliveries at off-hours and enables small businesses to be more efficient and nimble in how they operate.

“Deliveries are a must-have for small businesses,” explains Bryan Lieberman, General Manager, Centrios. “Component parts, ingredients, business supplies and finished goods are essential to the effective operations of a business, so there is considerable pressure on the business to have team members on hand to accept deliveries at off-hours. Further, delivery carriers struggle with the cost and coordination that comes with re-attempting deliveries. That stress on people and budgets is immediately relieved with this proof of concept with Harbor by Luxer One.”

Commenting on the proof of concept, W. Tad Jenkins, VP, General Manager, Harbor by Luxer One notes, “Despite the advances in delivery in recent years - there’s still friction in that last-foot delivery of goods to businesses - often just a locked or unattended front door. The Harbor platform was designed to make it easy for businesses to securely access the broader ecosystem of connected lockers, spaces and doors - ensuring the smooth flow of goods to end-users. Harbor’s proof of concept with Centrios underscores how small business operators can manage access options to support continuing operations and scaling retail, hospitality, and service industries in a post-pandemic, digital-first economy.”

Echoing this sentiment, Lieberman adds that interoperability is central to the Centrios platform. “Channel partners, delivery carriers, and small businesses are looking for solutions that thoughtfully address their pain points within their budgets, and yet are easy enough to pick up and use without any training.  Interoperability with other ASSA ABLOY technology partners like Harbor by Luxer One enables extended ecosystems that support small businesses as they evolve and scale!”
