Ritchie Bros. break ground on St. Louis auction site

New 68-acre site scheduled to open in March 2010

ST. LOUIS, MO , Aug. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Ritchie Bros . Auctioneers, the world's largest industrial auctioneer, broke ground on a new permanent St. Louis auction site in the Village of Caseyville, Illinois yesterday ( August 24, 2009 ). Caseyville Mayor George Chance , village trustees and other local dignitaries joined Ritchie Bros . representatives for the official groundbreaking at the 68-acre site, which is situated alongside I-64. Ritchie Bros . expects to conduct four unreserved public equipment auctions each year at the site, which is scheduled to open in March 2010 . Ritchie Bros . has 39 other auction sites worldwide.

The new St. Louis auction site is located alongside I-64, within sight of downtown St. Louis . The undeveloped site offers exceptional highway visibility, easy access to major transportation routes and nearby travelers' services.
