RESTON, Va. , Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Cernium Corporation, the leading developer of video analytics-enabled products, today announced that its ExitSentry passenger flow monitoring solution has reached a milestone of 75 systems with the delivery of a multi-lane system to a major airport in the eastern United States .
Introduced in 1998, ExitSentry is the industry-leading product for airport concourse exit lane monitoring and the first commercial product to make practical use of advanced video analytics technology for a critical security application. ExitSentry automatically watches people and object flow to identify and alert on wrong-way motion from public areas to secure areas, enabling security personnel to quickly identify any individual attempting to enter an exit lane from the wrong direction.

Many major airports have installed ExitSentry units to enhance concourse exit lane security over the years, including Pittsburgh International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Tulsa International Airport.
