Traficon and Optelecom-NKF have been working together much of 2008 to develop the Siqura(R) TrafficServer(TM), an IP-based Automatic Incident Detection (AID) solution for the traffic monitoring market to be commercially released in the second quarter of 2009. The integration of Traficon's AID algorithm into Optelecom-NKF's video server technology will result in an industry leading, robust, and compact video detection platform. The TrafficServer(TM) will detect major incidents within seconds, including stopped vehicles, smoke in tunnels, wrong-way drivers, fallen objects, and slow moving vehicles. TrafficServer(TM) displays incident verification data on-screen and provides real-time DVD-quality video content for accurate verification and recording at the Traffic Management Center.
