Acquisition places security services firm among top in region

Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Walden Security, which provides security guard service, is now one of the largest security providers in the region following its acquisition of the Atlanta division of Admiral Security Services.

The acquisition, which the company says makes it the "region's fourth-largest security provider", follows recent Atlanta-area contract wins by Walden that include 13 of Atlanta's 25 largest buildings. Among recent contract wins was the addition of Cousins Properties as a client; Cousins is the property manager for the Bank of America building, an icon of Atlanta's skyline.

The acquisition now gives Walden Security, which is a female-owned business, approximately 1,000 security officers in the Atlanta metro area. The company lists annual revenues of $92 million and 2,800 total employees, and notes that its clients include not only corporations but government units (including a Colorado location of the Centers for Disease Control) and the military.
