Industry Leader Named Senior Vice President of Business Development, Information Technology & Network Solutions Group

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va. , Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced that Michael Wells has joined SAIC's Information Technology & Network Solutions (IT&NS) Group as senior vice president of business development. He will lead the Group's business development team in identifying, capturing and bidding new competitive task orders and large strategic procurements in the health, federal civilian and commercial markets.

The Group, one of four at SAIC, provides systems integration, network solutions, and outsourcing services solutions for energy, life sciences, homeland security, and healthcare commercial customers and federal agencies.

Prior to joining SAIC, Wells served as senior vice president for government business at Siemens Incorporated where he was responsible for strategic planning and business development for the U.S. Government market worldwide and across all Siemens operating companies. Wells was previously a vice president of business development at BAE Systems where he was responsible for all account activity at the Department of Homeland Security. He also held executive management positions with Northrop Grumman Corporation and Microsoft. Wells retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1991 after a 20-year career.
