Company’s video analytics protect media center at economic conference

Intelligent video solutions manufacturer ioimage announced this week that its products were recently used to protect the International Media Center at the 2008 G8 Summit held in Kyoto, Japan.

According to a statement issued by the company, ioimage video analytics solution was selected by Japanese security firm ALSOK to monitor the area surrounding the facility, which was characterized as being both dark and heavily forested. By using thermal imaging cameras and ioimage video products, ALSOK was able to secure the area’s perimeter without the need for additional outdoor lighting.

"ioimage is proud to have been selected to help protect the G8 Summit’s Media Center," ioimage Senior Sales Director for the Asia Pacific region Maoz Tenenbaum said in the statement. "Our video analytics solution is being increasingly adopted by high-security installations to monitor vulnerable perimeters and proactively identify security breaches before they cause serious damage."
