The mission of APHIS is to protect the value and health of American agriculture and its associated natural resources. The systems included in this task order support multiple programs within APHIS, including Plant Protection Quarantine, Veterinary Services, Biotechnology Regulatory Services, and Animal Care.
The task order includes enhancements to APHIS's Comprehensive Electronic Permitting System (ePermits), design and creation of a new Agricultural Risk Management system, design and creation of a new Information Management System for the Investigative and Enforcement Services (IES) division, further development of APHIS's Plant Health Information System and Integrated Survey Information System, and business process evaluation and Service-oriented Architecture development to improve the APHIS mission and reduce the cost of system operations and maintenance.
