GTSI Wins $25 Million Purchase Agreement from the Department of Defense

GTSI to provide data security solutions for mobile computing and storage devices

HERNDON, Va. , Feb. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GTSI (R) Corp. (Nasdaq: GTSI) an enterprise infrastructure solutions and services provider to government, was recently awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) from the U.S. Department of Defense through the Enterprise Software Initiatives (ESI), to protect sensitive data residing on government laptops, mobile computing devices, and removable storage devices, such as USB drives. The $25 million contract, which reaches all of the Department of Defense, as well as Federal, state and local agencies that utilize GSA's SmartBUY runs for five years with all options exercised.

To help minimize the risk associated with critical data loss or unauthorized access to sensitive data, GTSI will be providing solutions and services including: assessment of requirements for an enterprise rollout; review and refinement of architecture and security policies based on best practices; and implementation. In addition, GTSI will be teaming with Credant Technologies to install Credant's Mobile Guardian Windows Shield on thousands of laptops, PDAs, and other mobile devices. This product provides a single management interface that enables organizations to detect, manage, and secure devices while ensuring ongoing compliance with an organization's security policies.
