Collaboration part of International Security Risk Management Consortium program

ASIS International recently announced that they have formed an alliance with the Open Security Exchange, an organization devoted to furthering IT and physical security convergence, under the new International Security Risk Management Consortium program. Under the terms of the agreement, members of each organization will meet twice a year.

The ISRMC program encourages collaboration between non-profit organizations to share their expertise with one another as it relates to enterprise security risk management. OSE is the first organization to align itself with ASIS under the program, according to a statement issued by the organizations.

"The initial expectations for organizations joining the ISRMC are a commitment to collaborate on strategic and tactical approaches supporting the vision and objectives of the consortium," ASIS CEO Michael J. Stack said in a prepared statement. "This consortium approach allows for periodic discussions regarding common strategic, tactical or operational opportunities and/or partnerships that would be mutually beneficial to members' organizations."
