China Security & Surveillance Technology forms alliance with Alvarion

Marketing agreement links wireless IP provider with digital surveillance company

China Security & Surveillance Technology (CSST), a Shenzen, China-based company which provides electronic security and surveillance solutions, is now partnering with wireless solutions company Alvarion.

The two companies signed an agreement for a marketing alliance. The agreement is such that both companies will promote and market the other companies solutions in relations to joint projects, tradeshows and more.

Alvarion provides WiMAX and wireless broadband soluitions, and the company's solutions are said to be a fit for CSST's "Safe City" projects which often involved networked surveillance systems designed for urban areas.

"Alvarion's worldwide leading technology in wireless broadband access will be a great addition to our bundled portfolio of total security products and solutions offered through our Safe City projects," said CSST's CEO Guoshen Tu. "Through this alliance, we will be able to present our growing base of local government customers an advanced total solution of sophisticated broadband wireless products and reduce our need to subcontract with local wireless providers. We believe that this new alliance provides us with an opportunity to improve our profitability for certain projects and lead to additional Safe City contracts in China."
