Tri-S Security Corporation Receives NASDAQ Staff Determination Letter

ATLANTA , Dec. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tri-S Security Corp. (Nasdaq: TRIS), a provider of security services and equipment for government and private entities, today announced that, on December 4, 2008 , it received a determination letter from the Listing Qualifications Staff of The NASDAQ Stock Market LLC (the "NASDAQ") indicating that Tri-S has not regained compliance with the minimum $2.5 million stockholders' equity requirement for continued listing on The NASDAQ Capital Market, as set forth in Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(3), and that Tri-S's securities are, therefore, subject to delisting from The NASDAQ Capital Market.

Tri-S intends to file an appeal of the NASDAQ staff's determination and request a hearing before a NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Panel by December 11, 2008 , which request will stay the delisting of Tri-S's securities pending the Panel's decision. The time and place of such a hearing will be determined by the Panel, and there can be no assurance that the Panel will grant Tri-S's request for continued listing on The NASDAQ Capital Market.
