Company's personal biometric token receives industry recognition

Privaris, a provider of personal, wireless identity verification solutions, announced that its plusID 75 personal biometric token was selected as a Sesames Awards finalist. 233 security products were nominated for the competition.

According to a release, the Sesames Awards will be announced on the eve of Cartes & IDentification, an event on digital security, smart card and identification.

"The plusID 75 is an unprecedented security product, backed by years of R&D and patents. We're pleased that it continues to receive industry recognition, particularly from such a well respected international body," said John Petze, CEO of Privaris. "The Sesames Award judges recognize that organizations have long struggled with security vulnerabilities posed by traditional access security solutions. The plusID 75 directly addresses these challenges by combining the innovation and convenience of wireless technology with the security and privacy of a trusted biometrics-based token."

Selected by an international jury, the ten Sesames Award winners, one per technology category, will be revealed on November 3, in Paris, France. plusID 75 is a finalist in the IT Security Application category.

In April, the plusID 75 won the Security Industry Association's New Product Showcase Innovation Award for excellence in biometrics design.
