SRA Awarded $27 Million Contract by the U.S. Transportation Command

FAIRFAX, Va. , Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc. (NYSE: SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting services and solutions to government organizations and commercial clients, today announced it has been awarded a competitive task order by the U.S. Transportation Command to support the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) Enterprise Support Services (ESS) program. The task order has an estimated value of $27 million over five years, if all options are exercised. SRA will provide specialized systems engineering and software development, supply chain management, and technical services and support in developing the SDDC ESS program.

The ESS program consists of a collection of information technology (IT) projects, supporting SDDC's mission of maintaining a widely visible supply chain and efficiently transporting goods and services to the warfighter. SRA will provide systems integration support to help SDDC shorten the supply chain and solve the logistical challenges involved with the surface distribution and deployment process, as well as shape their future IT strategy.
