Association to promote widespread adoption of fire sprinklers in homes

The National Fire Protection Association announced earlier this week that it is launching a new campaign focused on increasing the number of homes with fire sprinklers.

According to the NFPA, the goals of the campaign include:

• Urging municipalities to adopt ordinances that put home fire sprinkler requirements in place.
• Providing resources in communities that help support the widespread adoption of fire sprinklers within homes across the nation.
• And, provide an online outlet for those who are interested in learning more about installing fire sprinklers in their home.

“NFPA has long been an ardent supporter of home fire sprinklers for good reason. Home fire sprinklers are a proven technology that save lives,” NFPA President James M. Shannon said in a prepared statement. “NFPA is committed to doing all we can to make sure that more Americans and their families are protected by sprinklers. We also look forward to dovetailing our efforts with all other interested organizations.”
