Stinger S-200 Deployments 'Paying for Themselves' and Gaining Acceptance

Oct. 6, 2008

TAMPA, Fla. , Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Stinger Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: STIY), a leader in electro-stun technology today announced that the Prairie du Chien Police Department in Wisconsin has already had two events involving the Stinger Systems in the short time they have been on the street. Last month two patrol officers encountered an offender who was warranted for a near-fatal aggravated assault. This individual has had many dealings with the police and was known to always resist officers; both on the street and in the jail. On this occasion an officer drew his Stinger and placed the laser dot in the center of the man's chest while verbally directing him to kneel on the ground. The man gave the laser dot a long look and was then submitted to the arrest without resistance.

More recently, two officers attempted to take an intoxicated and disorderly offender into custody and he began actively fighting with them. One officer delivered a stun to the man and the resistance stopped immediately.

Chief Mike King stated, "I would say that just based on these events, the units have paid for themselves and gained complete acceptance by our patrol officers."
