National Security Systems Inc. (NSSI), a Santa Ana, Calif.-based security systems integrator, announced this morning that it has acquired ACEKA Protection Services.
ACEKA has been operated out of Ranch Cucamonga, Calif., and was founded by Ken Greenlee. The company provided sales and service, and according to NSSI's Christine Lewis, the majority of ACEKA's accounts were commercial. The sale occurs as Greenlee retires from the industry, and it adds some 400 accounts to NSSI's customer base.
National Security Systems is a system integrator in operation since 1989. The company's primary focus has been sales installation and service of burglar/intrusion alarm systems, fire alarm systems, access control and video surveillance camera systems. The company's website indicates that NSSI works with equipment from makers such as Radionics, Bosch Security Systems, Detection Systems, Honeywell, Ademco, ITI, GE Security, DSC, SDC, Schlage, Locknetics and Alarm Net.
"This is a strategic acquisition that complements our current footprint of accounts in the Southern California area," said Chris Schroeder, NSSI's president. "We have a very strong customer base and a wide variety of products and services to offer our customers so at this time we are looking to expand our customer base through acquisitions."
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
