Select Security Buys Penn. Alarm Firm Home Security Systems

Jan. 3--Select Security said Tuesday it has acquired a Lock Haven security company for an undisclosed price.

Lancaster-based Select Security has purchased Home Security Systems, its fourth such deal since 2004 after acquisitions of firms in Altoona, State College and Reading.

Select Security president Patrick Egan said Select Security already had been providing alarm-monitoring services for Home Security. With this transaction, Home Security president Robert Yoder will serve Select Security as a consultant.
