Alarm services company announces three new acquisitions in Ohio and Virginia

Vector Security announced today that it had acquired three alarm services firms, further expanding the company's presence and aiding the company's ability to serve national accounts.

The acquisitions included Custom Security of Columbus, Ohio, which served both the residential and commercial markets in that area. Custom Security's Andy Conti will stay with the company to be Vector's manager for the area.

Also acquired Security Concepts/National Security in Virginia. Security Concepts/National Security has offices in Harrisonburg and Charlottesville, Va. According to Vector Security, Security Concepts/National Security was the largest acquisition of the three. This acquisition was in itself really a two-fold acquisition of companies owned by Ron Smullen. Vector said that it was retaining 30 of the current employees, including Smullen who will manage the new branch offices for Vector.

Third on the acquisitions list was another Virginia company. By acquiring WiredUp, a home integration company, Vector Security is further moved into the high-end market for audio visual installations. WireUp has served both the residential and commercial markets. The business was owned by Matt Kurdziolek, who will stay with Vector to manage that office for Vector.
