Panasonic restructures sales force

Company names John Centofanti national sales manager

With a new president at the helm of Panasonic System Solutions Company who comes from a security integration background, the changes are already being felt. Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company, has a new national sales manager. John Centofanti, a former manufacturer's representative will assume the leadership of Panasonic Security's sales force.

A statement from the company also indicated that Centofani's appointment is the first of a number of changes within the organization "relating to the restructuring of the business unit's sales operations."

“As video surveillance and security technologies continue to rapidly evolve, it is imperative that the companies bringing these products to market revitalize their sales strategies to complement their product offerings to better meet market demands," said J.M. Allain, the new president of Panasonic System Solutions Company who replaced former president Frank DeFina.

Centofanti has 20 years of experience in the security industry and will be responsible for all of Panasonic Security Systems' sales activities, channel programs and strategic alliances.

The company has made a number of strides in recent years to make the transition from analog surveillance to networked video. While the company still offers the core product lines, it has also focused on its i-Pro line of IP video surveillance solutions.
