San Francisco is in line for $7.1 million in state grant money to upgrade security for the city's public transit system.
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency plans to use the money for new closed-circuit television cameras, fencing, subway lighting and other security measures.
The agency's governing board is set to approve the funding Tuesday.
