After adding exclusive restaurants, a movie theater, an off-track betting facility, and 24 hour gym over the past several years, the Golf Mill Shopping Center in Niles, Ill, decided it was time for a security upgrade and recently installed a wireless surveillance network supplied by Firetide and Secure Integrations.
Wireless network cameras were installed in locations throughout the mall’s 120 specialty shops, four department stores and 89 acres of parking spaces.
According to a statement issued by Firetide and Secure Integrations, the strategically placed cameras not only will deter theft at the mall, but also will provide footage for review of insurance claims, and enable quick response to incidents and emergencies.
The new wireless network also enables mall security officers to access video feeds on PDAs and alerts them when unauthorized movements are detected.
