CEO says new name represents changing scope of security and safety firm

Vision Fire & Security, an Australian firm, known for video and fire detection systems, is rebranding itself. The company has decided on the name Xtralis, and with growth happening in the company, CEO David Lloyd said it was time for a name that represented the scope of the growing security and safety technologies firm.

"The change in our business deserves to be recognized with a new name," said Lloyd. "Xtralis to represents the move from Vision Systems to our own entiry."

The company has a variety of products in the market. They include VESDA, the company's air sampling smoke detection system; the MILLBANK voice alarm systems; ADPRO's video surveillance based security solution; PROACTIV's technology for fire control and management; and finally ASIM, a new acquisition that brings security detectors and traffic detection and data collection.

The company was founded in Melbourne, Australia, but now has operations in Europe, the Americas and Asia as well.
