LV expo pulls 60 manufacturers, crowd of 550

Walters Wholesale Electric Co., Brea, Calif., held its 3rd annual product expo at the company's 150,000-square-foot distribution center in Brea in April. Sixty manufacturers in the security and low voltage industry displayed their products to an overflow crowd of approximately 550 people.

Guests were treated to dinner and entertainment with a Hawaiian theme, including a dance troupe called A Touch of Polynesia. Representatives from the various low-voltage security and data communication manufacturers gave demonstrations and seminars on their latest products. Attendees had the opportunity to win numerous prizes during the evening through free drawings, including several plasma TVs and surround sound systems.

"I couldn't be more proud of the way our team handled the record number of manufacturer partners as well as customers that flooded our Brea distribution center," says Tom Baldwin, Low Voltage division manager.

Especially gratifying was seeing the standing room only turnout for a low-voltage fire and security seminar held during the afternoon, says Israel Lopez, sales manager, Low Voltage division.
