Diebold EMC in Ohio recognized for professionalism

The Central Station Alarm Association, at it's recent Electronic Security Forum and Expo in Orlando, Fla., recognized member company Diebold for professional monitoring services. Diebold's Event Monitoring Center (EMC) was given the Central Station of the Year award.

Diebold's facility, located in Uniontown, Ohio, located between Akron and Canton, Ohio, is a UL-listed national monitoring center, and serves the commercial space. Diebold's EMCs are CSAA Five-Diamond rated for excellence and professionalism. The firm's EMCs train monitoring employees through a CSAA-managed Central Station Operator program, and Dennis Moriarty of Diebold Global Security said the company remains focused on investing "in our people, processes and technology."

In recognizing the award, the CSAA noted that Diebold's monitoring business had been highly focused on using technology to its potential, including a recent conversion of hundreds of thousands of client records into a digital, computerized format to aid its service and monitoring staffers. Overall, the company services some 49,000 sites, and has two other EMCs -- one in Honolulu and another in Monterey, Mexico, and is on the Web at dieboldsecurity.com.
