Fifth anniversary event produces 80 seminars, draws 5,000-plus attendees

On its fifth anniversary, Expo Seguridad Mexico seems to be on the right track to the establishment of a long-term security industry event in Mexico City. The expo was held April 24-26, 2007.

The show reported having over 5,000 visitors and 185 exhibitors at the expo center, held at the Centro Banamex. In addition, 50-plus security experts were on hand to host 80 seminars, on topics ranging from Alan Bell's keynote on changing threat paradigms to central monitoring and, of course, networked video surveillance.

Expo Seguridad also hosted specialized pavilions for vendor solutions, including a "Convergence" pavilion, the "Center for Efficient Energy" and "Pelco's Secure City".
