Sequiam Acquires Global Rights to Tacoma Technology

Technologies acquired included proprietary optical fingerprint sensor and related software

Sequiam, through its subsidiary Sequiam Biometrics, a provider of biometric technology and services, announced that it has completed the acquisition of the global rights to Tacoma Technology's products and technologies, which include a number of end user products and a proprietary optical fingerprint sensor and related software.

Sequiam will take over all manufacturing and distribution duties for the products. Sequiam will also take over all sales duties for the products, including sales to existing customers such as OKI, American Power Conversion (APC) and ITron.

Tacoma's CEO, Joseph Lee, said that, "After examining Sequiam's technological capabilities and market reach we determined Sequiam was the ideal partner to take our company to the next level. We are very impressed with Sequiam's biometric and management capabilities and see a long and productive relationship with Sequiam Corporation."
