Knoxville facility to handle customer service, monitoring processes

Brink's Home Security has opened a new customer care and monitoring center in Knoxville, Tenn. According to an announcement from Brink's Home Security, the new call center will start with some 60 full-time employees, and is expected to expand to nearly 300 employees when fully staffed.

The Knoxville facility will handle customer service inquiries like billing and equipment operations, while the monitoring side will handle calls from across the country and emergency agency notification.

The Knoxville location represents an eastward expansion for Brink's Home Security, which headquarters its National Support Center in Irving, Texas, and it should help provide additional capacity for calls, and can serve as a back-up location with the Irving facility.

The development of the new facility, located on Hardin Valley Road in Knoxville, isn't bound by geography either. According to Brink's, a digital routing system allows incoming calls to be directed to either the Irving or the Knoxville facility depending on which center can provide the fastest availability.
